SurpRice™ at Goals House During London Climate Action Week

This week, Goals House is bringing together leaders from policy, industry, science, education, and civil society through a series of panels, roundtables, dinners, and convenings focused on accelerating climate action.

Our day began at 180 Strand with a discussion on fashion and sustainability alongside EY, H&M, HSBC, and others, exploring how fashion, finance, and industry can work together to deliver scalable, commercially viable sustainability solutions.

The evening concluded with a remarkable opening reception at the V&A Museum, co-hosted by Sir Tristram Hunt. Framed by the iconic mosaic of Queen Victoria, with her arms open to the arts, science, and industry, the setting felt like an apt symbol for the week ahead.

We heard from Kevin Sheekey of Bloomberg on the importance of boldness, tenacity, and collaboration in tackling climate challenges. Alan Dangour of Wellcome highlighted the critical connection between climate change and human health, while Arlo Brady and the Freuds team ensured youth voices were front and centre, addressing both climate optimism and climate anxiety among younger generations.

Mayor Sadiq Khan closed the evening by reinforcing London’s position as a global hub for climate innovation and action, with more than 1,300 events and over 100,000 participants expected throughout the week.
