SurpRice™ launch at SXSW London 2026

At UK House during SXSW London 2026, the four co-founders of SurpRice™ invited guests and sustainability leaders to take a closer look at a new chapter in material innovation: SurpRice™, a plant-based material made from rice straw.

On stage, Dr R. Sri Ram, Jalaj Hora, and Caroline Rush CBE joined journalist Kirsty McGregor to discuss how the founding team combined decade of expertise to develop a credible plant-based material, that is available at scale for fashion and beauty accessories, interiors, architecture, and gifting. Suzi Woolfson, the fourth co-founder joined guests for the talk.
